Job Designation:Shift Engineer

Job Description:
1.Supervise and follow implementation of safety procedures and processes in the fields
2.Ensure risk assessment and tool box talk prior to job execution
3.Support the shift superintendent in monitoring process parameters, troubleshooting & expediting maintenance
4.Provide field supervision for shutdown, start up and preservation
5.Effective use of OMPro tool
6.Mitigate process emergencies and emergency shutdown
7.Support efforts on special samples and improvement trials where relevant
8.Follow up with Field executive and maintenance executive to expedite maintenance activities and safe HOTO of equipment
9.Implement PIOs and support improvement studies in his area
10.Support training of new hires
11.Involve in interactions / discussions with superiors and peers
12.Participate in learning from incidents and RCA discussions
13.Participate in rack up meetings
14.Maintain shift logs for respective area / equipment
15.100 % compliance to work permit system
16.Risk assessments during equipment hand over take over and process jobs
17.Report near miss incidents
18.Identify, suggest and validate opportunities for improvement
19.Fulfillment of identified training needs for self

Required Qualification:B.E./ B. Tech (Chemical)
