NTPC Ltd formed a joint venture with SAIL on 50:50 basis in March, 2001 in the name NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited (NSPCL). NSPCL took over captive power plant-II located at Durgapur Steel Plant (2X60 MW) and Rourkela Steel Plant (2X60 MW) from SAIL.

NTPC Ltd formed another joint venture company with SAIL on 50:50 basis in March, 2002 in the name of Bhilai Electric Supply Company (P) Ltd. (BESCL). BESCL took over captive power plant-II located at Bhilai Steel Plant (2X30 MW + 1X14 MW BPTG) from SAIL. With effect from 11th September, 2006, BESCL was amalgamated with NSPCL and all properties, licenses, permissions, debt, liabilities etc. with respect to BESCL now rests in NSPCL.

Job Description:
Officer (Finance): 2 Posts

• Qualified CA or ICWA
• Upper Age Limit 37 years as on last day of application
• Experience Profile: 02 Years post qualification Experience (excluding training period) in the area of Accounts / Finance/ Internal Audit preferably in a large organization of repute. Working knowledge in Computerized Environment is essential.
• Probation Period: Selected candidates will be on probation for a period on 1 (one) year

Jr. Officer (Accounts) Trainee: 4 Posts

• Inter CA or ICWA
• Upper Age Limit 27 years as on last day of application

Diploma Engineer Trainee: 15 Posts

• Full-time regular Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 70% marks.
• Upper Age Limit 25 years as on last day of application

Diploma Engineer Trainee (Electrical)- 13 Posts

• Full-time regular Diploma in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 70% marks
• Upper Age Limit 25 years as on last day of application

Diploma Engineer Trainee (C&I)-4 Posts

• Full time regular Diploma in Electrical & Electronics,Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics,Electronics & Power, Electronics & Instrumentation,Control & Instrumentation Engineering with 70% marks
• Upper Age Limit 25 years as on last day of application

Lab Assistant (Chemistry) Trainee- 4 Posts

• Full-time regular B. Sc. With Chemistry (Chemistry must be subject in final year)/ Graduate in Industrial/ Applied Chemistry with 60% marks
• Upper Age Limit 27 years as on last day of application Period of Training One year which may be extended at the discretion of Management.
